For suspected exposure, act deliberately. Keep everyone away from the animal, contact us immediately, and if a person has been bitten wash the wound under running water for fifteen minutes and seek human post-exposure prophylaxis without delay; it is lifesaving. Suspected rabies cases require reporting so public health authorities can respond.
